Custom Biophilic Arch Modelling Process

Process of creating the custom biophilic arch

I first started by modelling a rough shape using splines.

I then hand modelled the cut, angular edges at the ends and chamfered to add some roundness.

Adding a small amount of noise to the logs gives them the more natural Robinia feel.

Here is the wireframe showing the edgeflow of the finished model.

Finally I added the wood and steel textures to finish the piece. All said and done, this took me less than 30 minutes to create.
